What are RSE's school hours?
School hours are 7:30am-2:30pm.
-Students are expected to be in their classrooms and ready to learn by 7:30am. They will be counted tardy if entering the school building at 7:30am or later. You will need to sign in your child starting at 7:30am.
-Doors open at 6:45am, students may be dropped off in the front at this time.
-Car rider lanes on the gym side and Kindergarten/1st grade hall open at 7:15am.
-Parents picking up students must arrive by 2:45pm daily.
What is an acceptable Proof-of-Residence?
Proof-of-Residence MUST be in the name of the custodian parent/guardian of the student at the Rock Springs Elementary zoned address. These items need to be CURRENT (from June, July or August 2024).
We can accept anything that you could use to obtain a TN ID card. Items include a CURRENT copy of the following:
Utility Bills
Bank Statements
Rental/Mortgage Contracts/Deeds
Paychecks/check stubs
Insurance policies (auto, life, health)
Motor Vehicle Registration/title
Voter Registration
IRS w-2 from most recent year
Property tax receipts
ITIN tax number from IRS Immigration paperwork
Employer Authorization Cards
DHS Benefit Mailing Probation paperwork to the address
Proof/print out that address has been changed with the post office

What are the after school childcare options?
The after school childcare options are listed below. Please note, these are NOT run by Rock Springs Elementary School. Please contact these places directly for more information.
How do I find out what bus my child(ren) will be riding?
To find out what bus your child(ren) will be riding, please visit http://edulogsql.rcschools.net/liveweb/webquery/ enter your address and your student’s grade level. This should show you what bus your student will be riding, the location of the bus stop and the time that the bus will pick up and drop off your student.
If I have a complaint about a bus driver, who do I contact?
If you have a complaint about a bus driver, you may call transportation at (615) 893-5812 or visit the following website: Welcome to the Transportation Department! – Transportation Services – Rutherford County Schools (rcschools.net). You can fill out the complaint form linked at the bottom.
How do I change my child's transportation?
You will need to send a signed note to school with your child stating the change of transportation and date(s) the transportation needs to be changed.
Our secretary will contact the guardian of each child with a transportation change to verify the change.
ALL transportation changes MUST be in writing.
