A Message from the Principal

Hello and welcome to Rock Springs Elementary. We’re excited to start a new year and we’re happy you will be a part of the excitement. Whether you’re a returning family or you’re new to our school, we know this will be a great year. We are large school for sure! We have one of the largest enrollments of any elementary school in Rutherford County. 

At some point in the year, you will probably visit our school for one reason or another. When you visit RSE, please remember to bring a photo ID. Student and staff safety is of the utmost importance and visitors are only allowed after presenting their ID. If your child will have family members other than you visiting them at school, please make sure those visitors are listed on your child’s registration paperwork. Also, please remind them to bring their ID when visiting.

Although we have a relaxed dress code, one clothing item we require for all our students is closed-toed shoes. We recommend athletic shoes be worn by all students everyday so that students may participate in PE class and recess. If a student wears sandals or other types of open-toed shoes, the parent will be called to bring appropriate shoes.

Our teaching staff is of the highest quality, and we routinely finish toward the top of RCS elementary schools. We have been recognized for finishing in the top 25% and even top 10% of the state in different grades/subjects. Our focus is on challenging our students to learn at the highest levels. We judge our success solely on the success of our students.
