Fall....One of my favorite times of the year!  University of TN Football, chill in the air, chili and smores.  Hope you and your family enjoy this season. 
I am excited to have your child in my class!  I try to instill in students a love for learning, and that everyday is an adventure not to be missed. 
I began teaching in 2007, and I absolutely love what I do. I have a B.S. in Accounting from Lipscomb University and a Master’s of Arts in Teaching from Trevecca Nazarene University.  I have taught 1st grade, 2nd grade, and now 3rd grade.  My parents are retired teachers, and education has been a part of my life as long as I can remember. 

Both of my children graduated from Rutherford County Schools.  My son is a graduate of the University of TN-Chattanooga, and my daughter is a graduate of the University of TN-Knoxville. 

I want to do everything possible to help your child learn and grow.  I strive to find the balance of challenging students, but not frustrating them.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns.  My email is [email protected]. Please send in items ALREADY labeled 

          Ear Buds (Already opened, please.  I do not have time to cut open 20 pairs. 😊 )

  • One - one inch 3-ring Binder with a clear plastic sleeve on the cover
  • Six folders with brads and pockets one each: (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and purple) plastic preferred
  • 1 clipboard with a flat clasp (wooden one is fine)
  • Two packs of 24 count  #2 pencils sharpened (Ticonderoga only please)
  • 2 boxes of cap erasers
  • Package of red pens
  • 1 package of Black only large Expo dry erase markers
  • 1 pack of blue, pink, yellow, and green highlighters
  • 1 clear or mesh zipper pouch for binder
  • 1 school box for supplies (SMALL plastic for desk)
  • 1 spiral notebook (70 sheet wide rule)
  • 1 speckled composition books (wide rule)
  • 1 pack of loose leaf paper (wide rule)
  • 3 packs of 24 count crayons (Crayola preferred)
  • 1 pack 8 count markers (Crayola preferred)
  • 1 (12) count colored pencils (Crayola preferred)
  • 1 pair of Fiskar scissors
  • 6 Elmer's glue sticks 
  • 1 small bottle of squirt glue
  • 1 pack of post-it notes (any color)
  • 1 backpack (no wheels)
  • 1 box of Kleenex
  • 2 packages baby wipes

  • *Disinfecting Wipes (Clorox preferred) 
  • *Additional packages of baby wipes (we will use approximately 20 a day with snack) 
  • *Disinfecting Spray (unscented Lysol preferred)
    • *Kleenex 
  • *Hefty “One Zip” Bags (gallon and quart) 
  •  *Playground equipment (hulu hoop, jump rope, frisbee)
