Welcome to RSE!
 
My name is Kara Reed, and this is my 18th year in education. I have been blessed to spend those 18 years here at RSE. I spent 16 years as a 1st grade teacher, making my classroom home to countless students! Last year was my first year as the K-2 instructional coach. I love being able to use my experience to continue to serve the Rock Springs family! Before entering the classroom, I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from UT Chattanooga, then I attended MTSU to obtain my Masters in Literacy.

I live here in the Rock Springs Community with my husband, Johnathan. We have three amazing kids: Allie, Tucker, and Parker. Allie attends Rock Springs Middle School, Tucker is in 5th grade here at RSE, and Parker is our energetic four-year-old! Besides investing in the lives of students and fellow educators, I love spending time with my sweet family, listening to music, watching the Tennessee Vols play ANY sport, and spending as much time on my back porch as possible! 
 
It is my mission to continue to make Rock Springs the best elementary school in the nation! Here's to building lifelong learners!
