Hello

 

Hello and welcome! My name is Alissa Lawton and I love being a part of the Rock Springs Elementary family! I started teaching 1st grade here last year and fell in love with the kids, community and team. I'm currently attending MTSU and pursuing my Master's degree in Elementary Education. My parents were both teachers and I loved growing up seeing them impact lives in such a meaningful way. Building a classroom that allows each of my students to feel safe, loved, celebrated and able to flourish, is incredibly important to me.

 

Outside of school, I love spending my time with my wonderful husband, Craig, and our three daughters. I’m a designer at heart and love keeping busy with interiors and floral. You'll also find me knee deep in our gardens, writing in my free time and creating in the kitchen!
