Hello! I am one of your School Counselors
My role involves working collaboratively with students, families, teachers, and administrators to ensure a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment. I provide direct counseling services through individual and small group sessions, as well as classroom lessons that focus on topics such as emotional regulation, friendship skills, conflict resolution, and responsible decision-making.
I contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote positive behavior, equity, and mental wellness. I also help coordinate interventions and referrals when students face academic or personal challenges that require additional support.
My mission is to empower every student to achieve their personal best, build strong character, and develop the social and emotional skills necessary for lifelong success. I am proud to be part of a school community that values the whole child and partners with families to create a positive and engaging school experience.
A little about ME:
I have been a School Counselor in Rutherford County since 2018; I received my Undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Masters in School Counseling at Lee University. I am married, have one biological daughter and I am a foster/respite mom for the state! I love the outdoors and staying involved in the community. In my free time I love to read, be outside, and run. My goal as a School Counselor is to use my abilities and gifts to help students who needs help navigating challenges inside and outside of school, help make educational decisions, help develop essential life skill as they arise. To have a daily professional foundation – direct and indirect student services – interactions that are provided directly to students or indirectly for students in collaboration with families, teachers, administrators, other school staff and education stakeholders.
