1st Grade at RSE is the BEST place to be!!
Welcome to 1st grade at Rock Springs Elementary, the greatest school in the nation! My name is Megan Smith, and I am so excited to have your child in my class. We are going to have a fantastic year full of first grade fun!
This is my 9th year teaching, and my 6th year teaching 1st grade at RSE. Prior to teaching at RSE I taught 2nd grade for 1 year, kindergarten for 2 years, and worked in a Montessori preschool. I am so grateful for these experiences as each has had a meaningful impact on me as a teacher.
In our class we support, encourage, and help each other to learn and grow. We know it is okay, even good, to make mistakes while learning! During our year together it is my goal for each child to gain independence, confidence, and a love for learning that last far beyond 1st grade.
