Welcome to 4th grade with Ms. Wooters!
I'm so happy to be a returning 4th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher at Rock Springs! This will be my fifth year in 4th grade. I grew up here in middle TN and graduated with a master's degree in Elementary Education from UTK in 2013. I've been teaching for eleven years and have experience ranging from pre-k to 5th grade. I absolutely LOVE teaching 4th grade and strive to make it a fun year while maintaining high academic expectations for all students.
Many parents want to know how to help at home. One of the best ways to support your child is to have them read daily and help them find books they enjoy. Other ways to help are by reviewing your child's work with them, encouraging them to do the optional math homework, helping them study for social studies and science, and using the links on my Clever page.

I mainly use ClassDojo for general updates and communication. I recommend downloading the free ClassDojo phone app to ensure you always stay in the loop with what's happening at school. Please note that any urgent communication (such as a transportation change) must go through the front office, since I may not be able to view messages until after school. I will always reply to parent questions and concerns within a 24-hour business day.
